Integrating Technology and Entrepreneurship to transform the entrepreneurial journey for emerging entrepreneurs.
Karabo Thahane, a tech enthusiast passionate about integrating technology and entrepreneurship is the founder and Director of Digitl Apostl (Pvt). His company recently launched its flagship program, the Digitl Igniter Course. An online course which aims to transform the entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping emerging entrepreneurs take on challenges they are likely to face on their entrepreneurial journey.
Although he founded Digitl Apostl in 2016, the start-up remained dormant until he revived it after undergoing training at the YALI Regional Leadership Center Southern Africa in 2018. He says he was inspired to develop an Online Course for Entrepreneurs through his interaction with fellows from across the Southern Africa region who provided both inspiration and motivation to implement his business ideas. For Karabo, the experience he gained as a consultant for emerging entrepreneurs provided perspective on the challenges faced by them when implementing their business ideas. The Digitl Igniter Course seeks to bridge this gap by offering a tailor-made course to help emerging entrepreneurs overcome the hurdles of setting up businesses.
Karabo took advantage of the COVID-19 lockdown to launch the Online Course. He says, “lockdown forced a lot of people to go fully digital, and for me, this was a perfect moment to launch the online course”. Since its inception, he enrolled more than 50 entrepreneurs from across the region and employs five people to ensure the course is run smoothly.
